So I recently bought a Revolution and the extender platform and swore I wouldn't buy anything else for a while. But then they went and clearances a whole slew of things. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't tempted and at 50% off I couldn't resist. I even bought something as a Christmas gift. But I knew that all this clearanc-ing (that a word?) meant BIG things were coming. And sure as day dawns...well everyday there's tons of new stuff. Not only that but I just got a sneak peak at this month's release and for the first time I can honestly say that I want EVERY die in the batch! Now, I know I'm getting 2 dies as part of my Klub QK membership, but I don't know which two. I wish I knew because when they get to my LSS I want to get as many as I can get my grubby little fingers on!
Oh, did I say they are kitchen items? Wholy chocolate chips Batman! I know DD #1 is going to go nutty when she sees them.
As you may know I've been working on recipe pages for a swap at my LSS, for our QuicKutz group. It's been a lot of fun and this month was desserts. It PAINED me to miss it because not only did I want to make and share my recipe...I really wanted to try the others!!!
However, being that it fell on my DD #1's birthday and we took her to Disney World to celebrate there was just no way. But being a good little group member I finished my pages ahead of time and dropped them off so the other members would have them to swap.
Here's this month: Dark Velvet Torte. The slice of torte, whipped cream and raspberries are all cut using the QK Silhouette (thanks to my Yahoo! Sil users group for the tutorials).
I can honestly say I am too tired to scrap. I have projects a-plenty. Recipe swap, albums for the infomercial girls, Red's calendar...and those are just the projects for other people. Then there are the album pages I have been procrastinating to create.
But it's been a long week. I've been working a little bit outside the house. We had company earlier in the week so I had lots of housework over the weekend and just after the company left. Plus #2 decided this week that she just doesn't like naps anymore. So we are working on the routine to get her back on track. Of course she picked the weekend to catch up on her sleep (as does the rest of the house). And all I really want to do is catch up on my own sleep, which I don't think is especially selfish. I just have no idea when #2 will wake up again and want to eat. So it's one of those days when I'd rather stay awake all day than try to nap and fail. It does bad things to me.
So here I sit on the couch with DH asleep next to me, #1 snacking in the kitchen because she can see the t.v. (she's grounded from t.v. until tomorrow) and I'm watching Unbreakable. Again. And somewhere in my day I have to find the energy to workout. I don't think it's going to happen. Why is it that when I'm well rested I can't sleep?
I thought I hadn't posted all of my stuff so far but apparently I had posted all but one. Here's the straggler:
Also we went out to a new place for dinner this weekend and since it was their grand opening they had a guy doing balloon animals...and characters. The people on our left had a Tigger, the people on our right had Daffy Duck, this is what he did for DD:
Are you kidding me?! She has a bow in her hair and glass slippers! I was sure he wouldn't be able to pull it off but the guy rocked! It took him about 15 minutes and he was so cool about it. And thankfully nobody screamed, "Whatever clown, just make me a bike!"
I actually got some scrapbooking done in the last couple of weeks thanks to Cassie hanging out. I think I may have posted one of them but I'll double check and make sure both make it up. Next project will be the dessert portion of the QK recipe swap (and I'll probably repost the others when I post that just to have them all in one place). Then I'll move on to the much dreaded infomercial mini albums. Yes, I've been dragging my feet on these for over a year and I'm ready to put that baby to bed. I've got a whole plan for cranking them out, assembly line style. Think positive thoughts for me so I don't end up looking like Lucile Ball in the chocolate factory!
