    Two Days Straight!

    Wednesday, February 27, 2008, 07:11 PM [General]

Two days in a row!  I am doing better at this then I thought I would.  I was gone all day today and am usually in bed by 8, but my blog was calling for me.  The exciting thing about today is that I have been knitting.  THose of you that know me know that I have been convinced for a long time that I cannot knit.  My friend Heidi has taken it on as her challenge to prove me wrong.  Other then a hole here and there I think it looks pretty good.  She says that since we plan to felt it, you won't be able to notice.  ??????

Bart has been working on my art room downstairs and until that is completed it is hard for me to get to my sewing machine.  I have taken over most surfaces on the first floor with all my art stuff.  The sewing machine was just to much over the holidays - and has now been located in the closet.  I am dreaming of new art quilts and sewing projects for the girls.  I got my HOme Companion magazine and love Heather Baileys new fabrics and awesome projects.

Time to put the girls to bed.

I am so excited that I am finally joining the world of blogging.  I have been an avid reader for a long time and decided that it is only fair that I start sharing myself too.  Of course that is a little harder.

I am currently a stay at home mother of four daughters.  I love being a mother and find that to be my biggest fullfillment.  To recharge myself I sneak in a little craft time daily - I find that it is cheaper then therapy.  Hehe!  My favorites list is longer then I would like to admit - but feel so blessed to know that there are many others like myself out there.

I belong to an art quilt group called "Frayed Edges."  We have been published in Quilting Arts and have occasional shows.  We meet once a month and share our art with each other and encourage each other to try new things.  Some of my best friends are artists and they inspire me often.  In fact I was invited to this group by Heidi Boyd who is a member to this group and the author of many craft books. You definately want to check her out!

I uploaded some photos of my recent pieces but think they are under a public gallery.  Maybe I will be able to move them. More later - dinner calls.
