Hi - Jen here. I've become fascinated by how we shoot our craft makes - my favourite new pastime on mycraftivity has been looking at the latest additions to the Gallery, by browsing Most Recent.
We're posting 100s of photos, but do we show them in the best light (literally!) when we take them? So I was surfing websites that might give some hints and inspiration:
• Have a look at photojojo for some great advice and ideas (also ideal if you sell on etsy )
• Have a look through some craft books for ideas.
• I'm loving Heather Bailey's site at the moment - she shoots her projects in a fresh and bright style, with a little of her own life peeping in.
Let us know if you have any tips of your own, or if any of this has made you look at your own crafty snaps with fresh eyes.
...Hi, it’s me, Christine. You know, sometimes I just don’t get done all that I mean to do. Somehow time slips away, and all those super cute things I’d been meaning to make just don’t end up made. That’s when I turn to Plan B: Etsy. Etsy.com is an online marketplace for all things handmade. Whether you’re looking for a last-minute gift or just the perfect something for your home, you could very well find it amongst the shops at Etsy.
Here are a few things that tickled my fancy recently.
The pillow comes from Mary Gamelin Creations; the owl plushie from Thistle Patch Craft and the girl's dress from Mod Dot Textiles.
Some of our very own MyCraftivity members have their own Etsy shops—check out this forum on the messageboard for links. And happy
...
