    Photo Shoot Sneak Peek

Thursday, June 19, 2008, 02:01 PM EST [General]

This week, I had the pleasure of working with Sherry Steveson, author of When Life Gives You Lemons, in the photo studio. A week like this is one of nice perks of my job—I get to hang out with great people (and introduce them to Graeter’s ice cream). While we did discuss Lemons quite a lot, Sherry was actually in town to shoot step-by-step photos for her second book. I can’t reveal just yet what the book is about, but I promise you lots of unique and creative ideas and tons of really fabulous art. Here's a couple sneak peeks of the shoot (that's Sherry with fab photographer Christine Polomsky):

To ease your curiosity in the meantime, check out Sherry’s work on her blog as well as in the new Memory Makers Scrapbook Idea Gallery, and stay tuned for sneak peeks and more information about Lemons (due out in September).

    GASC Arlington

Thursday, June 12, 2008, 04:21 PM EST [General]

This past week I had the pleasure of working the GASC Arlington show. And, while the customer service and ticket booths kept me so busy I didn’t even step foot on the show floor, I still came away with some highlights from the event:

    • Enjoying some awesome Texas steak and bar-b-q. mmm!

    • Working with the Conferences team from F+W…this group of ladies knows how to make a good time out of just about any situation!

    • And finally, getting to meet so many scrapbookers. It was incredibly refreshing to be reminded of why people love this hobby. Some customers just didn’t care what they signed up for, they were just thrilled to be there, spending time with friends…and of course, scrapping. Thanks to all you wonderful ladies (I didn’t see a single male scrapper) for making a “working” week seem like so much fun!

Anyone heading to the GASC in Chantilly, Chattanooga or Grand Rapids? Click here for details on all three shows.

Tuesday, June 10, 2008, 10:51 AM EST [General]

Were you one of the lucky scrappers to attend cropping parties and workshops at the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Arlington, Texas? If so, leave a comment and tell us all about it! For more GASC updates, check out Christine’s blog, Crystal Jeffrey Rieger's blog, and the Memory Makers Masters blog.

If you missed out on the Texas excitement, no worries! You have three more chances to get in on the action. Register in person at the show next week in Chantilly, Virginia. And it’s not too late to register online for the shows in Grand Rapids (July 25-26) and Chattanooga (September 19-20).
