My son is going to learn how to knit in FACS class.  I've never really had any interest in learning this skill until yesterday when we had to buy supplies.  I told him to ask his teacher if moms could come learn too!

Why is it that the perfect crafting days are filled with chores and obligations?  The past two days have been as gloomy as can be with pretty much non-stop rain.  The perfect days to sit down and craft, can you hear my sewing maching screaming my name?  Yesterday I was helping with a fundraiser and by the time I got home I was too tired and soaking wet to do anything but change my clothes and plop on the couch.  I woke up today with crafting determination only to be side tracked by my children.  Yesterday while I was gone all day they worked on puzzles, today they insisted that those puzzles be mounted and hung.  So now the crafting table (also known as the dining room table) has puzzles drying on it with no room for mom's creative juices to flow. *sigh*   So this all leads me to ask, what's your favorite rainy day craft?
