Hi, fellow crafters! If you have been as busy as I have been lately (and I know all of you have been), you already feel like a turkey with its head cut off and running around like crazy! I'm excited to have this upcoming time to spend with my family (and scrap-booking time, of course!). It really is a time to be thankful for all that we have. In these hard times, we must not forget the wonderful things that are happening in our lives. I'm so grateful for my girls, my husband, our family, animals, friends, health-all the normal, but most important things, but I am also grateful for the simple things. I'm thankful for the beautiful fall colors, the sun that rose today, the music that streamed throughout the house today, the sound of laughter coming from my kids and their friends. I'm grateful that I got to spend some time in my office today. I love my office because I have filled the walls with pictures of loved ones-I have surrounded myself with what I love and what loves me. I love the fact that I can look out my kitchen window and see our dogs playing together like the best friends that they are. I'm thankful that I have such loving memories that make me want to scrap them right away. It's always the littlest of things that remind me that I'm truly fortunate and rich in many ways. I love my life. Today and always, I wish that each of you love your life. I hope that each of you can find something each day to be thankful for. May you all be safe and loved by many! Enjoy your holidays!!!

I'm thinking lime green...
Okay, if you've read my last blog, you know that I'm geting ready to decorate my oldest daughter's room. She wants hot pink and zebra-pretty cool, I think. I'm thinking lime green for the walls with some zebra stenciling on the ceiling. Sounds a bit much, I know, but, hey, you're only 12 once, right? How many times do you get to go crazy and have something completely your way? She'll have plenty of time for beige or white walls because the realtor tells her that's what sells the best. She's 12 and ready to be her own person, so I want her to embrace that. Watching her going through the steps of finding herself is an amazing journey in itself. It really helps you to realize that what was so "life ending" at 12 really does turn out just fine and sometimes great, if you are lucky enough to appreciate the whole ride-good and not so good. Oh, to be twelve again...Who am I kidding, I wouldn't dare wish to be 12 again! I did it once and that was plenty! But I'm thinking lime green walls for my office may not be so bad...
