Spring is in the air and a new month has begun. That means it's time to start our new monthly challenge! With April being the month for Earth Day, we thought it would be fitting to think green and center our challenge around using repurposed or found objects in your mixed-media work. Easy, I know, as many of you have been doing this for quite a while. So show your spirit and inspire your fellow Mixed-Media Group members and share your found-object art with us!

April showers may bring flowers, but they may also bring on a healthy dose of rust and that's where our new book give-away shines brightly. This month we'll be giving away a copy of Secrets of Rusty Things: Transforming Found Objects Into Art by Michael deMeng. How does one win such a wonderful prize, you ask? To be in the running, simply participate in this month's challenge by posting images of work you did in conjunction with the challenge (don't forget to include your name in the caption!), in the April Challenge folder--located as a sub folder in the Mixed-Media Public Gallery. At the end of the month, we'll randomly select a participant from the folder and a copy of the book will be theirs for free.
