I thought this was an interesting commentary on the blend going on lately between mainstream fashion and grassroots sources of hand-drawn pattern making. What is considered "cool" in the fashion world and chic in the hand-made world seems to be criss crossing a bit.

There are a lot of graphic art and comic book inspired little boutiques all around New York and San Francisco, but it's nice to see some haute culture throwing home-spun graphic art into the mix of clothing design on the catwalk.

Yes, Melody. My blog is MyArtHeart.blogspot.com. There hasn't been a lot of art on it recently because of family issues. Also, for the past year or so, everything I have made has been for publication so I have not been able to show any of it online. :-( It will be popping up in many places over the next year though...my own new book, several fellow-artist's craft books, and Cloth Paper Sissors magazine. And since this is my year off to be in the studio, you'll be seeing more and more online eventually!
