Hiddy ho and Hello to all, from a Newbie, mbeetle

♥Good day, I am a newbie here and look forward to meeting all, and learning and using this site.

Most of my bio is self-eplanatory. Bit I am a very attractive and young 47, a lady, a Christian, and have been interested and or doing artistic projects for as long as I can remember. My FaTHER WAS a wonderful artist. I am super liberal, assertive, and a fighter. I have been told, that all i have been through should have put me permently into a locked mental ward,,,,for life. But I enjoy and try to help others with an innate strength WHICH i HAVE B EEN BLESSED WITH. Love people and socializing, My fave food is lobster, my fave artist of the past, Picasso, and Monet, my fave name is mbeetle cause my Dad called me that, and I loved it.

A funny story: I have been around art from my Dad and galleries and showings, etc. since birth. When I was about five, I got out my art tools, my paints, chalks, etc, make up about 10-15 pictures. At the time, we lived in Biloci, MIss. Since it was so natural to see my Dad sell his paintings , I took my projects, and at barely five, went door to door, speaking of the type of art they were, the titles, etc.

I sold most all the stuff to a very nice couple who let my swing on thier tire swing, a young courple then, wanting and loved kids. I remember the many reactions of the people, cause I was dead serious, and trying to raise money for a new Barbie doll.

My mom of course scolded me, but the laugh lines and the twinkle in my DAd's eyes was reassuring, of my adventure. He was my biggest teacher and inspiration.

He did reward me for the intelligence and imaginative sales tachniques, framing, etc. for a five year olds art, and my courage and tenacity to go door to door, even continuing, when one lady insulted me.

I sold every picture, painting, etc.

I made about 10.00 in 1966, can ya believe it?  I did not buy a Barbie, I bought a DRAWING and Abstract Art for Beginners Book.

What a life, so precious, and loving art is terrific.

    Good to be here, mbeetle,
