I'm up late night crafting (preparing for my first ever craft show as a seller) as I take a couple of days away from book making -- and I’m also giving away a free print over at my other blog, The Other Side of Me ... so stop on by, name the lyrics to my fave song in my iTunes Libray at the moment; and your name will be entered in the song hat.

I've finally got to completing my first felted cupcake, a project from the book Warm Fuzzies, thanks to a trip to the thrift store yesterday and finding some sweaters to complete the color combo I was trying to ’cook’ up.

I also found some great Flickr groups this weekend here and here that show even more projects to make with your recycled sweaters. Reduce, reuse, recycle, right?

I've posted in my public gallery a new project I made this weekend, from a tutorial generously offered up by Betz White, author of Warm Fuzzies, by North Light Books. Similar too-cute-for-words projects can be found in the book, all made from recycled, thrifted sweaters.

I saw this tutorial on Betz's blog about a week ago, and the wheels started turning for making a cute little Easter purse for my daughter. She loved it so much she took it to church yesterday, half finished (only one flower on) so she could carry a week early. Since the big reveal, I've added the flower on the other side, plus a butterfly applique on the front.
