I wanted to share with you all photos of my new knitted bag. I finished sewing it all together last night and I am really pleased with it. It was easy to knit and I used up some left over wool that I had hanging around my house. It has turned out to be bigger than I expected but that is a good thing as now I can fit more in it!
It would be great to see photos of things you have knitted!
I came across this very funny joke last week and thought I would share it with you all:
A highway patrolman pulled alongside a speeding car on the freeway. Glancing at the car, he was astounded to see that the woman behind the wheel was knitting! Realizing that she was oblivious to his flashing lights and siren, the trooper cranked down his window and turned on his bullhorn and yelled, "PULL OVER!"
"No!" said the woman, "IT'S A SCARF!"

I know it is not the right
time to be knitting socks as everyone will be wearing flip flops and sandals
soon but I really want to give socks a try. Do I have to
use circular needles or can I use normal ones? I have never used circular
needles before.
I like the idea of
knitting some really thick, colourful socks that I can walk around the house
in. Does anyone know of any good patterns. I have heard that there is a
new book called Knitted Sock Sensations that I might have to get a copy of.
Can anyone recommend any other patterns?
I am currently knitting a stripy bag which I
can't wait to finish and start using. I am not looking forward to lining
it as that is the tricky part. I wanted to use up some odd balls of wool that I had left over and this was the perfect project. I will post some more photos when I have finished it.
