Vintage Altered Art Frame and Reproduction Vintage French Pig Image on Distressed Tin

"TastyLinksTM are all the good blogs, all the good blogs wrapped up...in...one!"

It's time yet again to share the linky love! I had an absolutely fabulous time with the divine Ms. Brenda Pinnick this week and as soon as we get the new episode edited, we'll post it on YouTube. We have another project that has to be finished by week's end and then we'll roll up our sleeves and get this video done. We took a little side trip to my favorite local primitive country and salvage shop Carsons in the Cornfields and we both scored some fabulous things. Brenda bought me a lovely vintage French pig print on tin (thank you so much Brenda) and I found this incredible little piece of vintage altered art. I also finally broke down and bought a locally crafty painted 3-D rusty tin blue bird with Happiness cut into the tin, yes, the Bluebird of Happiness has moved in! It's about time!

Lots of interesting things happened this week and I'm doing a lot of visualizing, preparing and soul searching about them. I'm off to NYC on Monday to do a little window shopping and perhaps a tad of buying so I won't be blogging again until Tuesday. Avalon is auditioning for the Wizard of Oz today and she's covered in calamine lotion! Yes, she's spotted pink and super itchy but still absolutely adorable. She sang her song for us this morning before she left and it was truly fantastic. She had all of these great little dance moves worked out. That kid of mine rocks! The cool thing about this theatre company is that every kid that wants to be in the show is in automatically. They actually create the scripts to accommodate them all. The lead roles are for the kids who show they're ready for the pressure, but everyone who wants to sing a solo or wants lines get them. I think that's the way it should be. I'm a firm believer in everyone being invited to the party.

Big crafty shout out to our newest Crafty Bloggers Unite member, craftalicious Cathie Filian of DIY's Creative Juice. You're going to love her blog and her contagious enthusiasm.

DON'T FORGET THAT MONDAY IS THE DEADLINE FOR YOUR KEWPIES! I know I sent out a lot more than I've gotten back people. It was a lot of work and a lot of trips to the post office. Kewpies went all over the world! It won't be "happy make cute" if you don't return your tiny treasure! Send your under 1MB photo to margot@margotpotter.com by the end of the day on Monday!
