Forgive the late post. I had to meet the orthodontist to discuss the braces my daughter has to wear for two more years. Yippee. Then it was a food shop and an unpack and a blogger won't post my photos situation and here's my day mostly gone! I still have to tackle my hair for a morning appearance at QVC tomorrow, which means my blog will post late again so this is the heads up on that.
I meant to blog an important link before I left but I honestly in my haste to post my blog that day forget I'd made the promise. I have a lot on my plate and sometimes some things roll off when I'm not looking. My friend Kerrie Slade is doing something very cool to support funding for breast cancer research and you can read about it here
and here
. She's an incredible bead sculptress and an all around woman of substance and I hope you'll go see what she's doing and get involved.
Just so you know if I've promised you linky love and not delivered, just drop me a gentle reminder. I'd never make a promise I didn't intend to keep, I may just forgot I made it. I still need a magical helper, if you see one on the highway with a 'will work for sparkle' sign please send them my way. I'm also needing a top notch publicist, maybe even a magical publicist, so again if you see one of those willing to work for sparkly things send them my way!
Above are a few more photos from my trip, lots of pics from our first day hike which I wasn't able to complete due to my ever vexing asthma. Argh. The good part of that is that I had no choice but to stop and really see these gorgeous wild flowers, which I may have missed were I trying to conquer nature instead of soaking it in. So that's the upswing!
You know, the funny thing about a blog is that people only get as much of the story as you're willing to share. They don't really know the whole story. I try to keep it light here and focus on the good stuff. Sometimes it's harder to do that when the real life is throwing me curve balls, especially since I've never been very good at baseball. If only it was lacrosse, I'd be kicking booty! The upside is I'm not blathering on and on about the buzzy bee that's currently lodged up my butt, so there's that! Woo hoo!
And so until next time...rock on with your bad selves!
Obtusely yours,
Maggie McBeeupmybutt
