Madge Gets Her Whine On and Shows Some Sneak Peeks!

Happy, happy, joy...joy:I can't believe how much work I have on the docket right now. I'm spinning straw so fast my fingers are raw. If one more person asks me for one more thing in the next month, I may lose what's left of my mind. No matter how much I spin, the pile just keeps growing, the money never seems to be enough and that friggin' little troll Rumplestiltskin has been MIA for ages. If you see him you tell him I have a few choice words for his sorry arse. Snarkity snark...snark.

I could probably make more money if I worked faster. The thing is, I can't be half baked about my designs. I feel like each one has its own little story and it's my duty to tell it as best as I possibly can. So it means, sometimes, I perhaps spend too much time on some projects. That's just the way the cookie bounces...or is that the ball crumbles...oh wait...that was the tooth wasn't it? Speaking of teeth, mine are fine. It was basically an old filling that needed replacing and the thin exterior wall that broke, which is luckily not the important part of your molar. He had me fixed up in a jiffy and it didn't even hurt. Have I mentioned we have the world's best dentist? Because we do!

I finished the three commissioned Swarovski Austria projects and I would love to show them to you, but alas and alack I can not. I've shown some teensy weensy sneaky peekies and that's as good as it gets. When they are published, I will share them because I really am tickled orange and black with how they turned out. As soon as they said they wanted three Halloween projects my mind was racing. Halloween is my favorite holiday! So many interesting cross cultural traditions surround it. They wanted a scrapbook page, something I have never created, but I had a really fun time with inks and Grungeboard and some wickedly cool ribbon I found at Michael's. Then a trick or treat bag, which I envisioned as a large tote bag that could double as Mom's purse on the days leading up to the big event. I almost fell over when I had exactly enough ribbon to thread up and down the front and handles on both sides. That never happens to me! I actually measured people, with a ruler! YAY! Okay I didn't actually measure people, I measured...people...meaning you people, the folks reading this drivel. Measuring people wouldn't really have helped me at all with my project.

    Insert trombone sound here...

Finally, I made a necklace that I am very sad to have to send away. I can't explain what I did until it's published, but I made a crystal and metal spider web and it took me the entire day yesterday to do it. This is why I don't do seed beading, spending an entire day on a project is excruciating to me. I'm impatient, have I mentioned that?

I must away to spin the straw into gold. Until tomorrow...craft on with your bad selves.

    xoxo
