Hello! I wanted to share these awesome beads with everyone because I had a jaw-dropping moment on my last trip to Joann, Etc.
There was an entire wall display or end of aisle display of blown glass beads. THEY ARE GORGEOUS! I posted this on my blog at www.abeadaday.blogspot.com and received a comment that these are not necessarily being carried at all the stores. Ours has just gone through a remodel which included increasing space for beads, yay!
I still haven't figured out what to do with these beads except to admire them! Let me know if you have any ideas! Take care!

Heart-It-Forward Challenge
Hello! I just wanted to post an update on this challenge I mentioned last week. I successfully created and posted a bracelet on my blog and happily sent it along to Cami of Art, Like Bread today. This is my first experience with a challenge like this and I must say, it was a lot of fun! I hope you check out Cami's blog in the near future to see what she puts up for grabs in the continuing saga of the "heart it forward" challenge!
Here is what Cami will be receiving along with some other surprises! ![]()
Look at What I Won!!
Hello!! I haven't had a chance until today to share with all of you that I recently won the coolest PLEXIGLASS bracelet! These photos were taken by Tonia Davenport who offered this piece up on her blog as part of her "heart if forward" contest/challenge. I have already received it and have been wearing it ever since. I will be posting my piece up for grabs this weekend which is the "challenge" part of heart it forward.
Enjoy! Thanks TONIA!!! I love it!![]()
Crochet with Wire and Beads!
Hi everyone ! I posted this bracelet on my blog at A Bead A Day as one of my weekly jewelry pieces a couple weeks ago and thought I should share this with mycraftivity members since there are so many crossover crafters. This was one of my first attempts at using this technique. I had taken out several books from the library and also watched a tutorial of a wire crochet necklace over at Auntie's Beads. Karla Schaefer is their resident designer and provides some nice tutorial videos.
This is a very fun technique and only requires minimal crochet skills. ![]()
Great New Book - A Must Read!
Hello! I just had to tell everyone at Mycraftivity about the new book I received from Amazon today. The title is Plexi-class and is one of the coolest jewelry/craft books I've seen! It's a lot of fun to read and the projects are ultra cool! I just love books that have the "wow" factor. You look and look at the projects and read the instructions and you are in awe....you've got to check it out. Here is the Amazon link in case you are interested.
