Just in time for my first post, I finished a Kentucky Log Cabin Quilt from a pattern in Judy Martin's newest book, Log Cabin Quilt Book.
The log cabins are formed from log cabin strips and are in the center of a four-sided star.
I made a long topper-style piece to cover the pillows and extend to the dust skirt.
Although it's a relatively easy pattern, it involved a lot of precision cutting and piecing. I wore out three rotary blades making it - but I think it's worth it.
