Ok gang, here we go.

I had hoped that I could just feed my existing blog here but since that is still in the works I'll be doing a cut/paste of my blog.

First of all I wanted to say HI! to everyone and introduce myself a little bit.

I've been scrapping for about 10 years now. I seem to be the only one who scraps chronologically. I can't help it. My goal is to have my kids books up to date and then I have a list of a few special projects I want to do. I think the closer I get to being 'caught up' the more I will move away from doing everything in order but until then Order It Is.

I've actually started digitally scrapbooking as well so I do some of each kind and I'll likely end up with quite a bit of hybrid scrapping embellishing my digital layouts just a bit.

So far here I have spent my time reading and making friends. I want to get more 'active' and comment on peoples blogs and gallery postings. I want to post some photos too. All in good time I think.

One of my main reasons for wanting to build a network of crafters as friends is that I spend a great deal of my time working on a Fundraising project involving scrapbooking. This is something I started a little over a year and a half ago and it's very important to me. It's something I want to see grow and grow over the years and the way to do that is to keep working and keep talking and of course getting others to talk too. Word of mouth is the absolute best way to promote anything but it's also the most time consuming. I'm hoping that friends and friends of friends here at MyCraftivity will help me do some talking.

I won't go into too much detail right now about the Fundraising program as I'm planning on cutting/pasting my blogs over here that describe what we are doing. Of course there have been some personal blogs in there as well but I don't think I'll bring them over. I'll bring over just the ones that talk about what we are going and the history behind it.

Then I can move along here with doing a cut/paste of that blog as well as adding some of my own personal scrapbooking talk here.

I'm really looking forward to getting more involved here. Until yesterday I couldn't get to this site from my work computer as we had such high parameters on our systems and it locked out all 'hobbies'. Who locks out hobbies? Anyways, not sure if they changed their mind or not but now I can get to the hobby sites and I can get here so that's good. It will give me way more time to participate. I do work and sometimes quite a bit but I have a job where I have to remain at my desk (Word Processing Dept of a large law firm) and when there's no work to do it can get quite boring. UP until now I've been doing what I can for my fundraisers and I've been digital scrapbooking while at work but then everything else had to wait until I was at home and there just hasn't been enough time.

So look for more activity from me (at least until they lock the internet down again). I'm really looking forward to getting to know people here.
