It's bugging me that I don't have anything in my blog yet, and since I don't have much to say, this will be a commentary about my photos.

My profile photo is me passing the time between my hairdo/makeup and getting my dress on for my wedding. I decided the card basket was dull and there was ribbon and flower bits left from my sister-in-law making the flower arrangements, so I slapped something together. Finished product is another photo, but has been knocked around in storage for seven months. Trust me, it looked a lot better that day.

One photo is my first knitting project (seriously-- my grandmas thought I was nuts, but I was determined!). A shawl that I made for my sister's wedding that didn't turn out quite as long as I imagined it would, but I ran out of time to make it longer. I had the pattern for one heart and got out the graphing paper to figure out how to link them. I didn't know at the time if there was such a thing as knit 3 together, but I did it, and it turned out! Three years later, I have been working on smaller projects-- baby hats and booties. Much less stress there.

The other photo is a diaper cake that I made for my sister's baby shower. There is a cylinder in the center and the baby's knit hats and booties are inside, which I didn't take pictures of. When I gave her the cake, the ribbons were centered-- this photo was a rush.
