I need time in a bottle

    Friday, October 10, 2008, 09:25 PM [General]

Long time no blog. It seems everything and everybody wants my time. I have two new pages uploaded about my neice. She got married and pregnant and I have trying to capture those moments for her in an album. My Grandson just turned 11 and I have been with him for a week. I have to work on his pages too. After 8 years of retiring I have finally become busy. I am getting too much too soon.

    Sick

    Wednesday, August 27, 2008, 02:17 PM [General]

I am back after several days of being sick. I slept for three days and could get up. I finished my Mom's scrapbook but could not give it to her because I did not want her to be sick. No such luck. She has been sick for three days also. My sisters are sick too, I guess we caught it from each other. I will give the scrapbook to my Mom when everyone is better. Thanks to everyone who has given me the inspriration to continue.

I use a free software called Scrapbook Flair.
    www.scrapbookflair.com/in...
They have free embellishment and background paper. the only they don't have that I need is copy and paste.
I also use Scrapbook Factory 4. You can get that at Office depot or at thier website. www.novadevelopment.com/p...

That's such a nice story about your mother's album. I made one for my granddaughter, she has two little ones. I gave it to her for Christmas and she liked it so much, I've started another one for her. I'll give it to her whenever I get it done. I spend a long time on the pages trying different ideas then I quickly glue it all down and am usually happy with it. But I have gone back and made changes even months later. I haven't tried digital scrapbooking yet but it sounds like fun. Do you have to have special software for it and if so what kind do you use?

Hi, yes I like cats of all kind. Mine has the Siamese markings but has long fur. I've got 9 grandchildren so you're right, there is always lots to scrapbook. Do you spend a lot of time on each page or do you keep your pages fairly simple? I like to use at least 3 photos on each page and just a few embellishments and am just getting into more journalling. But it is fun, isn't it.
