Have you knitted a purse, yet?

    Jody,

I really don't have a pattern. I just grab some yarn and some needles and GO! I usually use size 9 needles, and I use about 2-3 different yarns. I use eyelash, mohair, ticker tape, lots of different "slubby" type yarns. To start, I cast on about 24 stitches (for a small bag, up to about 50 for larger bag) and knit 2 identical pieces. I then whipstitch the sides and hand sew my handles. I fold yarn over the handles to do this. I have added beaded fringe to some bags, with tacky glue, also have used big sparkly buttons-just for looks. I just basically grab some yarn and see what looks good together. I guess I am a "fly by the seat of my pants" kinda gal. I can usually have a purse made in about 3 or 4 hours. If you have any questions, let me know, I will be happy to help in any way I can.
