Instead of standing at the window scowling at the driving rain, harumphing at the black clouds and tutting at the brown river racing past the window I have decided to be more zen about the weather.
OK so I cannot get into the garden and put the spuds in the ground, but I can certainly light a fire and think of something else to do with my hands. Ahhhh, what's this? A pair of vintage pink needles. Oh! A hank of mouse ear brown cotton. Mmmm. A tiny hand knitted bunny boiled egg hat for the children for Easter!
So as the children painted lollipop sticks with frightening faces, creating hair with old chenille yarn and wispy angora I click clicked to create a cute egg cosy.
Once I've figured out how to post images I'll get in online so everyone can stop bemoaning this March showers and nest indoors being crafty.
I'm the kind of crafter who is after instant gratification. Not for me the hours spent working on an heirloom piece (though I really admire those have that kind of patience), I'm more a finish in fifty minute kind of girl.
I'd be interested to hear what people think the ideal length (in time) the perfect project is for them.
