Contest - What boosts your creativity?

    Tuesday, May 27, 2008, 03:30 PM [General]

This is a quick and easy blog post. What boosts your creativity? Is it a walk in the park, a book, magazine or tv show? Is it a specific album on your iPod or perhaps a gallery in an online site? We would love to hear how you burst out of any creative blocks and get those juices flowing again.

All posters to this blog will be entered for a chance to win a copy of their favorite craft book from the MyCraftivityShop. We'll draw a winner next week!

Good luck and can't wait to hear your suggestions.

Working on FOJG charity projects whilst listening to Josh Groban music ( A 6 year fan here :))
Truely, doing for others very often inspires me, and sometimes the unexpected kindnesses of friends, old and new, or taking time to appreciate the life I've been given, (having overcome many obstacles in my life and getting through life in general) are inspirations to me. I think it is people, rather than things which inspire me most.

A rainy day always sends me in search of my art supplies. Something about the smell of the wet earth and grass, and how beautiful and happy all the vegetation looks. My biggest inspiration; however, is my family, who keeps me supplied with fresh new ideas on a daily basis. Have a happy day!

    Music and Nature.

Music inspires me the most. There are so many brilliant songwriters out there that have a way with twisting our creativity and pointing our thoughts in different directions.

I take one look at the Rocky Mountains or spend an afternoon on a hike and I'm inspired in so many ways. I am so lucky to live in such an amazing state. It doesn't take much to get inspired here.

I find that looking through scrap books and mags is where I find most of my inspiration. I look at a layout, color combo or sketch think about what pics I have that would look good using that. And now with the warm breezes flowing through my house, I'm just itching to get busy!
