Hi there and welecome to my first ever blog. I originaglly came to this site as a surfer. I was looking for info on altered books (or something else). I tend to have several projects going through my head at one time. My main medium is in bronze and iron but since I graduated in 2007 with my BFA I haven't had access to equipment to do any metal work. So I've turned my attention to other outlets for my creativity; which is what attracted me to this wonderful site, the name! Since then I have recommend the site to a friend of mine who does jewelry work , Hi Jamie! She has done several pieces for me reworking an amber bracelet that I had into a more stylish 3 piece set that sure looks better than my Wilma Flintstone bracelet. She also does photography so I thought this would be a great fit for her.The project I'm working on right now is hand carving wooden crucifixes, along with reworking my grandaughter's favorite baby blanket that I quilted for her before she was born. Fortunately it's pretty easy to do but she hates to let go of it so I have try and do the work at night whie she sleeps. I'm not a whiz with a machine so I work by hand but it keeps me busy for the moment.
