    DORA!!

    Sunday, November 30, 2008, 03:47 PM [General]

Hey Everyone,  My granddaughter will be 3 on Tuesday. A while back I decided to make her a DORA cake for her birthday because she loves Dora. We are having her party tonight, so I did the cake last night. The pan alone cost me $12 and I needed 8 different colors of icing. Each color was $1.59. I made my own buttercream icing. It was so much fun decorating that stupid DORA cake until 1 am this morning. But she just loves it!! I think it was definately worth the trouble. Her name is Serenity. So if you think that you can't do something like this, think again!!  Kim

thanks so much! i really appreciate your thoughts and opinions! I actually only have one girl, so girly things are still a little new to me. I agree that the simpler, the better, when it comes to anything for kids. I know, all to well, that things get torn off and lost, ect... I want these to be fun for kids to wear, and affordable for anyone to buy. :) Thank you!

Thanks so much for the encouragement! I took a flyer to the school today and they were thrilled and suggested I emailed all the dance schools in the area. They said that a lot of school might be interested in having me create tutus for recitals and shows. :) I'm really excited!
