Hoarder's Challenge Wk #2: Blame it on the Weather

Monday, September 15, 2008, 06:16 PM [General] Posted By: julie

As you see, I am a bit late on getting the 2nd week running. I am Blaming it on the Weather. First I would like to send out a prayer and thoughts to all those effected by Ike. My own kinfolk was hunkered down in the midst of it in Houston with a new baby at the hospital and all too. Some of us are miles away from the coast,  we all have felt the effects of the hurricane season this year.

So in homage to the weather, Hoarders Challenge Week #2  is Blame it on the Weather.

Here's the Guide for this week.

Make a Weather LO.How stormy weather affected you directly, some event that was effected by a storm,  aftermath of a storm, or a post storm gratitude lo-documenting the double rainbow, or the fact that you all survived. An LO of the kids playing in the rain, or how neighbors pitched in to help clean up. Journaling about your feelings is always hard.

I am certain that these LOs will not be "Happy-Fluffy" types either. Not expecting them too. This will be hard for some, I know.

Things you're hoarding to use up: Clear accents of snowflakes,weather-related embellishments (you know all that cutecute BamPop! stuff that you couldn't resist). Acrylic/clear/accents, mismatched rubons,  Paper Piecings,  that set of old stencils and paint/wtatercolors. Distress some PP, paint on some transparencies, make bubbles out of Water PP, make some waves, make some raindrops, make swirls to represent wind, waves, etc.

Colors: Blue/greys. Blue/orange, brown/gold/yellow/marroon, black/blue/grey, greens/yellow/reds, Red/gold, blue/white/offwhite,

After a week of stormy weather, get out and enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

Live, Create, Enjoy
