Hoarders of CraftivityLand Unite!

It has come to my attention, and I looked on this message board, that there aren't a lot of "challenges."  Now I may just be missing them, so if there already is something like this on MC, I won't interfere.

In a recent discussion with one of my new MC friends, we talked about our habit of hoarding products: patterned paper mostly. Laughing That got me to thinking about running a weekly ( or even bi-weekly) Hoarder's Challenge. Any ideas on this are certainly welcome. Would YOU participate? Would you all want a "winner" to be voted on? Would you want a "sketch" to use? Would using a book as a "guideline" help? Would anyone oppose to being "scraplifted"-say someone saw a layout by Bettyblank and wanted to lift it, then the lifter would need to credit Bettyblank with the original design as a courtesy, because that is just the way scraplifting works. Participation would be open to-scrapbookers (including digital, hybrid, tactile), card makers, papercrafters, and stampers? Really anyone that wanted to participate could and whenever they wanted to. The only requirement would be to post your work  or a link to  your work in your blog say, and note the challenge number.  I am on another list and they do all sorts of challenges for all their media and they actually have some sort of voting and prize deal going. So I don't know the logistics of that, but I participate everynow and then and it's a lot of fun to try a new technique, use up stuff that is at the bottom of the paper tray, or stuffed in the crop bag out of sight out of mind.

Once again: if this is already going on here and I just missed it (I know I saw some challenges over on the Mixed Media Collage group) Please help me. Any suggestions will be helpful.

Ok Hoarders Anonymous. Here we go. What I have  been advised to do is set up Subgroup  called Challenges. I will then post the challenge and it will be in that subgroup. With me so far? Any questions? Good. Now. When I post the challenge I will post them on Wednesday and they will run for two weeks? No pressure to particpate, no pressure to be fabulously fast either.

Rule 1:  If you wish to be recognized for participation Post a pic of your LO/project/crafty bit  or a LINK to a pic of it-with a note that it is for Challenge # whatever.

I will be the first to say I am not the greatest at all this scrapbooking stuff. BUT I love it and I have fun and its MY art. That is how we should all  approach it. So Rule #2 Please be kind and considerate to others, rude, unkind, bashing of anysort will be deleted.

Rule #3  If you "scraplift" (use someone else's lo design/color scheme, etc) PLEASE give them credit, it is a form of flattery and we want to make sure no one is slighted. It is always nice to comment on others.

Suggestions for challenges are welcome. If you wish to "mc-mail" me  that will be great.

Hoarders of the craft world unite! I'd love to participate in a hoarders' challenge. When I'm trying to use a wide variety of my paper stash*, I make mini-albums or journals.

Keep me posted!!!!

* Stash sounds like something you can put discretely aside... so, can you call your paper a stash when it could be stacked taller than you are???

Just so you girls know - I've been working with Julie to provide some prizes for these challenges, so make sure to tell your scrapbooking friends! :)
