Would anybody be interested in doing a quilt block exchange? I haven't worked out all the details yet but thought I'd throw the idea out there to see if there is any interest. Also, if anyone has done one before please share your experiences with it. I will keep this open until Saturday, October 11th and will work on the details based on what's going on in this head of mine and what others have to say about their past experiences with exchanges. I don't - I'm sorry. I'm still looking into quilting - too scared to jump into it full force. It's such an amazing craft. I love watching people put their quilts together. Hopefully you'll get some response from the newsletter. :) |

i love quilting but i am not the most talented at it yet. i have never done a quilting exchange. i would be interested to know the details of what you are looking for. if its something i can do i will gladly join up. good luck with this. hugs, carolyn |

Hello Vanessa. Thank you for your interest in the quilt block exchange. My thinking is that participants would make one quilt block for every other participant. They would mail their finished blocks to me and I would take one block from each participant and mail them to the other participants. So say there are 10 participants, each one of us would make 10 quilt blocks of a certain size, mail them to me, then get a package of 10 different quilt blocks. Each participant can do any design that they want with their own stash or we can have a theme. I haven't really ironed out all the specifics since there hasn't been any interest, these are just the rough drafts of my thoughts. Any feedback or ideas of your own are welcome! Renee |
