I just joined this site and am hoping to talk with others about beading and jewelry making.  I also have

just started scrapbooking as my granddaughter just graduated and so I wanted to make a scrapbook for her.

I put pictures in from the day she was born up to her prom and left room to add more.  (She just bought her

first car and is very excited about that.

Hello--new here today.  [Aug 8th]   My granddaughters enjoy beading and the oldest is pretty good. My daughter and I have decided to try it too.
My question is should we have something in mind to make and buy the beads needed or just buy a small variety of what you like and take it from there, or buy a book on beading and get ideas from that?  I go to Hobby Lobby and get dizzy with what is available. I have also seen those on Oriental Tradingand really lose my mind....what to chose!!

I am new also. I just joined to day.  I would say that it is best to have a project in mind when you go to buy the beads. Now what I say and what I do are two different things. I might go into the store with something in mind, but I come out with more than what I needed. Everything is just so pretty :)  I get alot of ideas from magazines also.
