So, I have this cashmere sweater...
I have this sweater that I bought at the thrift store last year. It's cashmere and it's MY size (which is a total miracle), and it has a fun argyle print across the front. Perfect, right? Well, no. It has a small hole in the back. Not too big, but big enough to notice. I figure that I can't sew it without it being noticable, so I'm thinking of felting it.
But, felting a CASHMERE sweater. Is that ok?
For you felters, what do you think? Will it felt properly? I thought about felting it and then making something cute out of it. Not sure what, yet, but I'm sure there are a few ideas in Betz White's book. (Warm Fuzzies)
I welcome any suggestions!

So, is anyone else excited that the New Kids are reuniting? Or, is it just me? LOL!
Not so amused...
Ok - so on Saturday instead of doing anything NSD related, I went to Kings Island with my family. We have season passes (Christmas gift) and truthfully - amusement parks are not really my bag. I get dizzy fairly easily and the idea of hanging from something where you can see the tops of trees just does not appeal to me whatsoever.
My 7-year-old looks at things a bit differently. The kid has NO FEAR when it comes to getting on rides. She rode things that would make adults (including myself) cry. It sort of stinks when your kid calls YOU a chicken. LOL!
I have a photo but the scanner turned it into a PDF, so I can't post it right now until I get it converted to a .jpg, but it's of Maggie and Scott on the Vortex (HUGE coaster) in the front row. Like I said, the kid is a daredevil.
I can't wait to scrap it!
My mom found a photo of me on the same ride when I was about 17. I look like I'm going to cry. If it weren't for the fact that an old boyfriend is sitting next to me, I'd scrapbook that, too. Ha! But, for now it stays tucked away in a drawer. Don't need the kids asking too many questions.
Hope everyone had a great NSD and I'd love to see your layouts if you post them!

Tomorrow is NSD and I'm not Scrapbooking...
Ok - so tomorrow is National Scrapbooking Day and I'm not scrapbooking. For the first time in probably 5 years, I have nothing to do on NSD. Can you believe that? Normally I'm either teaching classes, attending a crop or hosting an online "party". Tomorrow. Nothing. Zip, zero, zilch.
I'm not sure what to think of it. This past week I've been battling bronchitis and a nasty allergic reaction to an antibiotic that landed me in the ER yesterday, so I haven't really had time to plan anything. But still...I'll miss scrapbooking tomorrow.
Maybe I can live vicariously through someone. Tell me what you're doing for NSD. If I'm lucky, I might get to run to a store and shop. Any suggestions on what I should buy?
