What a week this has been.

Friday, May 9, 2008, 02:52 PM PST [General]

I have had one of those crazy "wish I had more time in each day" type of weeks. I have managed to finally catch up on my organizing in ACDSee. I had so many goodies from NSD that I was way behind. Yesterday  I started the 28 Days class with Gretchen at BPS. I am having such fun with the daily photo assignments. I really need to use my camera more than just on special occassions. I also finished two 4"x6" albums for mother's day and an extra one for my  daughter-in-law, Kris. They were great fun. The cover for the 28 days class I made on the computer. Quite the adventure for me. I have pretty much been a 12"x12" scrapper on the computer and these were strange sizes. Push the envelope that is my new motto.

    NSD

Saturday, May 3, 2008, 02:30 PM PST [General]

Wow, NSD National Scrapbook Day. I have been on the net all day taking classes and obtaining free kits and just having a great time. My hubby asked who started this day. Does anyone out there know? He has been great, promising not to bother me all weekend. He even bought lunch for me while he was out and about today. I'll be taking a break soon as my wrists are about to give out. Back tomorrow.

    Finished Class

Wednesday, April 30, 2008, 10:01 AM PST [General]

Sunday was the last day of the Digi In Deep class with Jessica Sprague. It really stretched my skills and taught me so much. The great part is that I now have access to the lessons and advice and everything forever !!! What a treat. I highly recommend her classes for anyone who is interested in learning to scrap digitally. I've taken all three of them and have advanced enough to feel comfortable with digital scrapping after less than a year using Elements. I'll attempt to post my last layout which was a tribute to my wonderful husband of 21 years, Jon. Please feel free to ask me anything about these classes.

    Where did it go?

Saturday, March 22, 2008, 02:57 PM PST [General]

This past week have flown by. I have been busy creating my album for "It Matters" and getting ready for the new class with Jessica Sprague and another with Heidi from DigiInfo about organizing with ACDSee. The whole week here in the northwest has been like a rubber band with the weather. It's up and down temperatures and my fibro and chronic pain have been getting the best of me. I am excited to be taking these classes. I always seem to produce more when taking a class.

I am fairly well organized, but can always be more so. I just organized my previews and realized that I need to do some ratings with my photos. I tried to find a certain picture of my Mother-in-law for the section of the album called, "Who I Scrap" and it took forever. It is one of my favorites of her and so the need for ratings jumped out.

I am usually not on the computer on weekends as it is the only day times that I have with Jon, but today he is flipping channels and so here I am, sneaking away from the rest of the world. I'll be posting some of the pictures of the album soon and sending the photos of our new windows away.

This whole blogging thing is so new to me. I am not sure about how to do things, etc. It took me quite some time to figure out how to add a friend to my list but I think I was finally successful. I wish the email had said, "push this button", or "click here". My level of knowledge is very limited when it comes to blogs and forums and just about everything digital except Elements 6 and ACDSee.

I think that is it for today. I'm being a bit grumpy (I hurt). No one needs to hear me moan.

    Pictures and more pictures.

Friday, March 14, 2008, 04:30 PM PST [General]

Today was my day to organize files and do back-ups on the computer. I was so busy that the day flwe by. I amanaged to back-up my ACDSee, print the Feb. & March proofs, sort through abd pick out the photos to print in sepia for my journal, and print them along with the group photo from Akira's going away pot-luck. The emails were taken care of and the latest photo assignment for "It Matters" completed. I took a photo of a bunch of the floral elements that I have for scrapping. It is the stash that I 've never used up until now.

Each day when I open the email I am hoping for more photos from Sharin of the little place in Duncan, AZ that we may be interested in buying. More about that later.

All in all a great day.
