    Anniversary Card (album)

Friday, July 25, 2008, 03:00 PM PST [Friends and Family]

I woke up today knowing that I needed to make an Anniversary card for Jon for tomorrow. Until last night I had no idea what I would make. But yesterday I was able to pick up a copy of the magazine Mini Albums in an evening, and it sparked all sorts of ideas. I had this chipboard book in a drawer because it just didn't excite me and then it all came together. I spent the morning at the computer printing the text and the photos and then putting the card/album/book together. Here it is for all to see. We were married 22 years ago on July 26th. I made by far the best decission of my life on that day and have never regretted it. Jon is the perfect person for me. I used papers from a kit by Jomi van Bekkum for the August Scrappers Guide, the ink is Tim Holtz distress vintage photo and the fonts are Rubber Stamper and Arial. The cards journaling says, 22 years, 22 reasons, I love you because and then each photo has the name of an attribute I love about Jon.

    Rainy Juneuary

Tuesday, June 10, 2008, 11:06 AM PST [Friends and Family]

Today we will be lucky to have the temp rise to within 60 degrees. This is the strangest June. The news folks are calling it Juneuary. It is the coldest June in our history and it feels like winter. There is snow in the passes and the Washington State DOT is in a quandry. How do you say "Traction tires required" when they are against the law after the April deadline. I would laugh if I weren't so darn cold. I am so very thankful that we had the double pane windows installed this past March. I think I will do some paper crafting today to get my hands moving and warm.
