I was in the midest of writing when we lost power for several minutes.  That happens here in the country on occasion, especially when it is very windy.

It's nice to see my friend Debra and others posting  photos of their watercolour paintings, especially the pet, portraits, and landscape paitings, which are my favourite things to paint.

It was unseasonably warm today, as was yesterday, though yesterday was very windy.   Yesterday I scraped old paint from the little side porch , and I painted the landing and steps today, and I have just  a bit of the  floor boards on the side and a bit of the railing there.  My little herb garden is next to those steps, so hopefully, this weekend I'll be going to the greenhouse to get some annual herbs and flowers.  I have some potted plants like geraniums growing in the house, but will only put them out during the day, as the nights are stilll too cold.
