OKay so it is raining again here in Ohio. I'm really disappointed with the weather. I need to be free. I think today is going to be a crafty adventure. I started a quilt a while ago and I really want to fini****.  His father was killed when he was really young. He had one of his dad's shirts and the only tie his dad had. He kept it in a knot because he could never tie it himself. I have used the shirt in the quilt and the tie I am going to sew across the middle of the quilt. Then I am going to embroidery his name, DOB, and DOD on the tie. I think I am going to embroidery the kids and grandkids' names around the quilt to. I am going to name the quilt "Surrounded By Love".  I will get some pictures up the next time I dig it out.

I have this jean jacket that I love to wear. the problem is that it is plain. I would love to spice up the large empty back. Has anyone every embroidered or appliqued anything to their clothes? Or does anyone have any ideas of what to do? Thanks for any input!

Do you remember those crazy little Booby bird that were on cartoons? Well I found this applique pattern for something like it and I fell in love with it. I placed the applique onto my daughter's old receiveing blanket. (she's 2 now). I am making the blanket into a rice bag for my grandma. I used my daughter's baby clothes and outfits that just don't fit anymore. My daughter was born on my grandma's birthday 67 years later. This July 3rd my daughter will be 3 and my grandma 70. This is going to be her birthday present.

Tell me what you think! I am going to sew around all the feathers, the beak, and the body. Then I am going to use ribbon or embroidery to make the legs. I think I will end up using ribbon, but I'm still tossing with the idea. Please feel free to comment. I love feedback.

So I am having a bit of a dilema. I was given this yarn and I want to use it. I hate throwing things out that I can find a use for. The problem: I don't know anything! I don't know WHAT it is, and I don't know What  to make with it. It is so rough and course, I don't want to make anything that will touch the skin. Plus there is some there, but not a lot. I was thinking some of those round dish scrubber things. Anyone have any ideas???? Comments??? Please help!!!
