| A Great TV Commercial Quote
When watching TV last night I heard this quote - loved it so much I wrote it down. (Got to love staying in a hotel 'cause nice little note pads are everywhere!) I am off to start my day at the Great American Scrapbook Convention - can't wait to meet everyone and catch up with some familiar faces. :) |
A Great TV Commercial Quote
I {heart} my CROP*A*Dile...

I have arrived in Chantilly, VA for the GASC and after a long day of travel I was in desparate need of a beer that could not be opened so I searched and searched my room and there was my crop-a-dile....ta da...apparently it is good for more than punching holes in really thick objects and setting eyelets! I need to write We Are Memory Keepers a thank-you letter....
Seriously, don't leave home without one!
I really, really, really, really {heart} my crop-a-dile right now! :)

(oh, I changed my mind and brought the laptop - so hopefully will be blogging all about the show)
From the Mind of a 4 Year Old

So today I thought I might share some things that Magnus has asked me recently. I try to keep my Magnus posting down to a minimum but he is just so gosh darn cute I can't. He pretty much cracks me up daily and sometimes I just gotta share:)
**
Magnus: How old was I on the day I was born?
Me: Well, I guess zero.
Magnus: But zero means nothing. And I was not nothing.
Hmm, got me there. :)
**
Magnus: Can you hear the words in my head?
Me: You mean the thoughts?
Magnus: Yes, the words that are in there.
Me: No. Only you can hear them.
Magnus: That's good.
Hmm, that doesn't seem good... :)
**
Magnus: Is there a baby in your tummy? (He asks this 'cause my sister is prego)
Me: No. Mommy doesn't have any more babies in her tummy.
Magnus: No. I am pretty sure you still have a tiny one in there. You just forgot about it.
Umm, no....

And this was just from the last day or so. I mean, the things he comes up with! I need to start following him around with a tape recorder. People are always asking me how old he is because his language is so great. No baby talk for him!
All I know is he makes me laugh daily and he might make you laugh today too. :)

I am working on a scrappy project to share and hopefully I will have it done for tomorrow. Until then...:)
A Quick Message...
I'm posting a really quick message cause Momma Bear is sick and I am taking care of her. I mean, she took care of me when I was little and sick and it is only right that I return the favor. Plus she has pneumonia and nobody should have to take care of themselves when they have that!
It has totally thrown the order of my day off though...oh and the fact that I "forgot" that my grade 5 "Why Choose Canada" project is due tomorrow. You know, I could have sworn I had completed grade 5 already!!
So my house is a disaster due to homework and a sick momma bear (they haven't made the mess directly but it has evolved from me not following every person in the house around yelling - you should pick that up!)
This of course disqualifies me from offering any organization tips for the day. BUT I will be back with some hiding the mess secrets tomorrow. That is, after I get through the million emails that have piled up today (I sound really popular don't I??? LOL)
Hope you are all well out there in cyber world. :)
Never say I don't bleed for my craft...

I may or may not have a 1/4" circle cut into the tip of my thumb. Well about 3/4 of a circle. At least I know I am alive - the heartbeat in my thumb lets me know that fully!
Sorry about he fuzzy picture but I had to take it left handed - what do lefties do when they need to take a photo? The button is on the right. It really is a right-handed world! I might just have to design the first left handed camera...
If I haven't scared you off with my sillies lately then I am surprised! A girl has got to celebrate though, right?
After all the emails I got last week from the other messy scrapbookers out there who were so happy to hear I was a messy girl I thought this week I would share some of my organization (ha!) tips. Well they are really more like - how can I contain this mess just enough so my hubby doesn't throw me out - kind of tips.
As us messy ones know cleaning up is a pain. So the idea is to make life as simple as possible when it comes to organization. If it is too much work then after about a week it starts to slide. You know what I mean?
So that is the plan for the week. You are going to see my messy ways and how I combat them - well sort of combat them. :) I am not promising magazine gorgeous solutions. I am talking about reality. I mean who really has their embellishments color coded and labelled in perfectly matching containers? I know I don't!
[It seems as if I might loose some tidy, color-coding readers of this blog this week but I promise I am really just jealous of your natural ability to be tidy...:) Seriously.]
