I find that when I either don't have enough time or don't feel inspired enough, I like to do two things. I will either peruse the galleries of my favorite scrapbook sites or I will experiment with a technique that I have been wanting to try. I have found that I find a lot of nifty things to use in my layouts this way and I still get to do something creative without needing a lot of time or space. I have tried everything from things others have tried and shared to coming up with my own stuff.
The latest experiment was with tissue paper. How to get different looks and textures from it. I did the krinkle, smooth, and layered look. They all came out neat and were very simple to do. I think the layered look was a very good one to try for my layouts this spring. I will definitely share one of them as soon as I can do one. I am going to try to work with some pictures from previous years as well as new ones.
Just curious, but does anyone else simply experiment with different techniques this way?
