Wow what a busy old day --been away for 6 days regrouping my ideas and filling my sketch book and generally touching base with myself and enjoying 'down time ' with my darling husband .Time is a precious commodity and it is only when something dramatic happens in life that we really think of it .I know I never have enough of it ever -would choose not to ever sleep again if I had my choice .
My children have lost the best Grandpa ever this week and the one thing he always gave them was 'time '.
He was there to read to them listen to them, laugh with them, and taught them never to take themselves too seriously, but to endeavour to always do their best .
He taught them how to fish, listened to painful flute playing ,many renditions of songs from Oliver ,Joseph and many choral tunes from James on the organ .
Through all this he was there and until the last few years when he has had to suffer the most painful end of Alzeimers Disease they knew he was.He always encouraged me in my work and craft and had constructive things to say but wisely so very wisely told me to hold back on those things and enjoy my babies .Well Grandpa George I did and the books have followed the duo growing up and know we have lost you but the lessons stay in our hearts for the generations to come 'Au Revoir '.
I intend to do a piece of work dedicated to Grandpa George and feel it must be something connected to the River Avon one of Englands best salmon fishing rivers a sport he loved for many years .
So finished lining a felted bag to enforce it into a stiff shape 'dolly bag 'embroidered felt is going to take off big time I feel and so many people have never learnt these embroidery skills even simple line embroidery .

I am very sorry for your loss. Grandpa George sounds like he was such an integral part of your family and that is such a huge loss. There are really no words of comfort, except that you have not lost all the wonderful memories that you and the family have.
