Decorative knots for making unique jewelry and accessory pieces are one of the latest trends. If you haven't tried knotting, you'll be thrilled to know we have a new book, Decorative Knot Craft, releasing in May. It has over 20 knotting and macrame accessories with great how-to photos.
I'd love to see pics of your knotting projects. It's great inspiration for anyone who wants to get started.
You don't need expensive tools to get started. There are many types of cords used in knotting. Silk is the best (most expensive), but you can use other cords, such as, vicose cords, cotton cords or various types of embroidery cords in three thicknesses, fine, 1.5 mm to 2 mm thick; medium, 2 mm to 2.5 mm thick and thick cord over 2.5 mm. Add a beading awl, latch hook, pliers, beads, and findings and you're ready to personalize your own jewelry.
Let us know if you need help, we're here to make sure you have success in all of your creative projects.
Happy Knotting.
