I have just come across an interesting article on The Guardian newspaper website about a hyperbolic crochet coral reef being put together by the Hayward Project Space in London.  Craft makers across the world are creating thousands of brightly coloured crocheted models of reefs as a testimony to the disappearing wonders of the marine world.
