If you find yourself between knitting projects and need a quick fix, you'll love making the String of Purls from DomiKNITrix, by Jennifer Stafford.
A simple I-cord links stuffed speres created by quick increases and decreases. While this project is quick to make, it does require a certain amount of dexterity to stuff-and-knit. But if you're a DomiKNITrix-in-training, you won't let a little challenge stand in the way of a good knit.
Enjoy! Pick up a copy of DomiKNITrix and check out the other super-fab projects. You'll be amazed at the originality and detail of the patterns in this collection.

What do knitters like (almost) as much as knitting? Sewing knitting accessories, of course. And who among us doesn't need a little bit of knititng organization? So today, we give you step-by-step instructions for making your very own knitting needle case.
The project comes from Betz White's book, Warm Fuzzies. She makes all of her projects out of felted sweaters. If you're a real over-achiever, you could certainly start from scratch by knitting a piece of sturdy fabric and felting it down. But why do that when it's so satisfying to shrink a sweater—on purpose?
Pretty cute, huh? It's also a pretty innocuous sewing project—a good one to start with.
Here it is opened up:
Check out the book for more fabulous ideas for upcycling felted sweaters into supercute new creations. (Make sure to check out the cupcake pincushions! Even knitters need a place to stash those straight pins.)
Heidi shows two versions of the vest in her book, one purple and green and the other pink and blue. They are so soft and cozy and the bright contrasting colors are perfect for young kids. Be sure to check out the book (click here to buy it) if you haven't done so because there are matching stuffed toys to go with the vests. You can see the stuffed spotted dog in the main vest picture, and there's also a striped cat.
There are tons of other great patterns in this book—over 40 in all. It's great to have on hand for when you need to knit for babies and toddlers. Please post what you make from the book! We love to see it.
