Hello from Cheryl
I’m back in the office this week after the excitement of Stitches last week. And there to welcome me were three boxes full of wonderful advance material for the team to put together selling material for our cross stitch books publishing Spring 2009! I am just so excited by some of the fabrics my authors are using for their cross stitch. Joan Elliott is a great example: she has just sent in some amazing designs to me stitched on the most wonderful hand dyed 28-count Jobelan fabrics. Joan has used these fabrics for some of her designs published in her book about to be published next month, A Woman’s World in Cross Stitch (www.davidandcharles.co.uk). Her Woodland Goddess Picture was stitched on fallen leaves 28-count hand-dyed Jobelan and Sea Goddess Picture on Neptune. And she is continuing to use one or two other colour ranges available from the supplier (Polstitches) in the book she is currently working on for us. You can view the whole range of wonderful hand-dyed fabrics available at www.polstitchesdesigns.co.uk. Joan’s designs always stitch up beautifully, of course, whatever fabric you choose.
