Mother's Day isn't far off; and if you want to stitch a special card, this project is for you.

This pretty Spring Tulip design comes from Crafting Cross Stitch Cards by Sue Cook. It measures 4" x 7" (10cm x 14cm) and is stitched on 14-count white Aida. Edges are left unfinished for a fresh and casual look. Instructions tell you how to use this piece as a card embellishment; however, you could also make a bookmark from the same design (you might want to finish the edges or use a stitch fixative so the bookmark doesn't fray).
