    Comes from the heart

    Wednesday, May 7, 2008, 10:16 PM [General]

    Hi!

I welcome all fellow crafters! Please feel free to make your self at home here!

I'm glad I found this community mentioned in my Scrapbook club bulletin this month. It's always good to trade ideas with fellow crafters. Not many people where I live do quilting, card making and/or scrapbooking or even make jewerly.

I do have several younger women who have decided that something homemade is not a "hand me down" but comes from the heart and that every thought that goes into it was of the person it's intended for.

I have (1) family (member) that thinks something homemade (no matter the cost or time involved) is an insult and that displaying the item in their home shows that nothing else could be afforded or that they are ashamed of it. Even new baby blankets for my granson!

Uhm, sorry thats a touchy subject.

Please, excuse me if I ramble, I've had brain surgery and thinking of the right word sometimes is hard for me.

You just be grateful it does'nt take you as long to read this as it does for me to type it! (haha)

I'll work on getting some pics of my craft room and my quilts, (haha all 3 of them) loaded on here by Sat or Sunday.

I look forward to trading new ideas and projects and meeting new friends.
